Finding Joy from Family, Fun, Disneyland

So in my pursuit of finding joy in my life I have had a great week. We have been planning a trip. We've actually been planning a trip since last summer, but finally we are making reservations and getting things moving.

Stop!!!

Before I go on let me fill in some information.

We = Me, my two sisters, and our mom. You can read more about them in my earlier post.

Our trip = Going to visit my brother and his family in California and going to one of my favorite places on earth. Disneyland.

Why it's taken so long = My mom has a lot of heath issues and has been in and out of the hospital a lot, but she doing good right now so it's a good time do do it.

Well back to this week. Wait! before I go on I have to mention one more thing and give a big thank you to my co-worker who so generously gave me four Disneyland Hopper Day tickets. And if you have ever gone to a Disney park you know the value of them.

Ok, so this week. To help me get through the work day and to help me not fall asleep like most people I plugged in and listen to different things on my phone. Sometimes it's music, Sometimes it's talk radio, and sometimes I listen to different things on YouTube.

Well lately I found a great all things Disney one. Subway Mouse, a former Disneyland cast member that brings her bright personality to a dull day. Anyway, from there I would watch other Disney things, which finally bring me to my point.

While watching all theses Disney things I came across a thing called Dapper Days at Disneyland.Two times a year people come dressed up vintage, like back when the park first opened and everyone came in their Sunday best. So of course I had to tell my sisters, and one thing lead to another and we adjusted are plans and we are going to this springs Dapper Day, May 1st.

True the main point of our trip is to see family, but I have to face it. I am a major Disney fan and I have to do the D when ever we go to California or Florida (which is where my other brother lives.)

So now you are probably asking, so what all this has to do with finding joy.

       
I realized that planning the Disney part of this trip and watching/listening the Disney YouTube videos makes me so happy that I just am so Joyful that I'm going especially since after all that has gone on this past year. So even though it's a material thing I have found some joy in it.

And just in case you are thinking, what about visiting her family that will be the next part.
