Way Back Wednesday

Hi everyone, thanks for stopping by,

So for this Wednesday I thought I would share a little bit of Halloween cuisine that I did for work a few years ago.

Chopped Mice...

You take a few mice chop them in half with a cleaver and there you go.

Seriously here is the recipe

  • 18 ounce tub of Cool Whip
  • Crushed Nilla Wafers (1/2 of an 11 ounce box)
  • 16 ounces Hershey's Chocolate Bar

  • Instructions

    1. Melt 16 ounces of chocolate in a bowl over a pot of boiling water.
    2. Cool the melted chocolate until cooled to room temperature(the outside of the bowl should be fully cooled as well).
    3. Mix the Cool Whip and the melted chocolate until fully mixed.
    4. Refrigerate the Cool Whip and melted chocolate mixture for 30 minutes.
    5. Crush ½ of the wafers in an 11 ounce box of Nilla Wafers in a food processor (should be 1 cup)
    6. Take 1 tbs of the mousse and roll in between your hands until a ball shape is formed. Or long gate in more of an oval shape
    7. Dunk the ball into the crumbs until fully covered.
    8. Add almond slices for ears, black licorice for the tail and mini chocolate chip for the nose and eyes, or you can use Red Hots for the eyes.
    9. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes and serve.
    10. You can add red food coloring for blood if desired.

    Have fun.
